First and foremost I
acknowledge this book as a
work that has been born out of necessity to tell the true story of my real
family and the tragic events that transpired over 45 years ago, that destroyed
a loving and beautiful family unit and in effect formed the person who I have
become. I dedicate this book to my loving family: my father, mother and Kate my
sis. And I truly acknowledge those who have been hurting because of
experiencing a similar event and have hidden their feelings deep within
themselves, in which the pain never seems to fully disappear.
In the mid 1960’s a woman was
walking her dog in Providence,
RI and came across a body that looked like someone had stabbed him a dozen or
more times. The body was later identified as Wayne Glenn Vanderbilt Smith III
of New York.
·· Vanderbilt
Smith’s 2 year old son disappeared the very day of his murder.
·
I
am that baby-toddler who lived to tell the details of what really happened the day of my father's murder. The answer to this
question is within the pages of my book.
Believe it or not even though the woman found my
father with over a dozen stab wounds, this case was marked as a suicide, then
later to accidental death, and finally as a murder case after my sis Kate died
in a suspicious head on collision after speaking with the police to re-open the
case. My sis had puncture wounds in her neck that could not have been
caused by the accident, oh and she was pregnant as well.
After Kate was killed
in the head on collision the case was re-assigned as a Murder. Former
sheriff of Providence, RI Thomas Myers worked on this Murder case until his retirement in 1992 and then it went into the cold case files...
All the
things that happen
within the pages of this book are as if looking through the eyes of a child,
and are written in the vernacular of a child.
Even the English
and Language rules
of composition have been thrown out. These are the exact words
from a grown man's memories (written by the 2 year old child within) that had
been hidden for 40 years because of the trauma within the pages of this book.
Because of the no rules wild-west
style of writing, this book brings a flavor to the reader of which few books
can boast. Even the extra spaces between some words gives this book its’ own brand of reading delight, by which the
reader gets so enveloped in
the story-line that none of that seems to matter.
My book sells for $15.95 on my publishers website, and
various other prices on other sites.
Thank you and hope you enjoy the rest of my website.
